Good Thursday morning, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Los Alamitos-Seal Beach Patch surf report. Well, the fun run of waves is hanging around for another day. In fact, it looks like we're seeing a bit of an increase out there. So, go grab a session!!
The conditions are mostly clean early on, with a combination of energy out there. We're seeing mainly modest west northwest and northwest swells in the water.
That recipe is offering fast sectiony lines which are breaking close to the beach early on due to the incoming mid-morning high tide. Things should improve a bit once that tide drains out a bit.

Most spots in Seal Beach are pulling knee to chest high waves, with the standout breaks seeing some shoulder high sets.
At 8:01 this morning the tide climbs way up to a 5.7 high which will have many spots along this stretch of sand pretty swamped and even a little inconsistent throughout the morning. The tide then drains out to a negative 0.8 low at 2:37 this afternoon.

If you're planning on paddling, throw on at least a 3/2 full or better yet a 4/3 and maybe the booties, with the water temp hanging between 56 and 58 degrees. Have fun out there!!
