Good Thursday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Los Alamitos-Seal Beach Patch surf report. Well, we're definitely seeing more swell out there today, but those conditions are questionable, due to a storm which is expected to make its way down the coast today. So, don't be surprised if the surface gets chewed up fairly early!
We're starting off with a bumpy ocean surface. As fas as the surf goes ... it's a mixed bag of modest south and southwest swells and some smaller west northwest energy in the water.
That recipe is providing some fast and bumpy lines, with a few workable corners. Most Seal Beach spots are running about knee to stomach high, with the top combo breaks seeing chest high waves, with maybe a plus set.

At 6:22 this morning the tide dropped to a 0.2 low which is going to be a bit of a problem, with some spots lacking water early to mid-morning. The tide then pushes back up to a 3.1 high at 12:45 this afternoon.
If you're going to get out there and grab a session, throw on at least a 3/2 full-suit and possibly the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 57 and 59 degrees. Good luck out there!
