Tuesday Surf Report

Small and playful waves.

Good Tuesday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Los Alamitos-Seal Beach Patch surf report.  Well, considering there's not a lot of size, it's actually looking pretty playful.  You can probably break out just about any board out there! The conditions are starting off clean and glassy early on, with a mixture of energy in the water.  We're seeing mostly south southwest swell and a tad of northwest wind and groundswell in the background. That recipe is offering some fast sectiony lines, with a few good steep shoulders to snag.  Most Seal Beach spots are running about knee to waist high, with the top south facing breaks pulling a few larger sets. Checking the tides...at 5:01 this morning it dropped to a 0.0 low which will have some spots lacking water early to mid-morning.  The tide then pushes back up to a 3.7 high at 11:13 later this morning and then drops once again to a 1.5 low at 4:27 this afternoon. If you're planning on paddling, a 3/2 full-suit will do the job, with the water temperature warming up quite a bit and averaging between 62 and 63 degrees.  See ya in the water!
