Two Fall Overboard In Sunset Harbor: Rescue
Two people fell into the Huntington Beach harbor, leading officials to send a helicopter for a rescue mission.

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA — A dramatic rescue took place Thursday afternoon when two people fell overboard into Sunset Harbor, officials said.
Authorities responded just after 11 a.m. to a report of an overturned boat with two occupants six miles from the harbor, said Huntington Beach Marine Safety Lt. Claude Panis. Multiple patients were discovered upon arrival, they reported over Twitter.
A police helicopter lowered a Huntington Beach Marine Safety officer, a rescue swimmer, into the water, according to Panis.

Two patients were brought ashore, treated by paramedics and taken to local hospitals, said Huntington Beach Fire Battalion Chief Eric McCoy. Their conditions were not immediately known.
Marine Safety officers remained behind to steer the vessel to shore.
