Seasonally adjusted unemployment numbers were not available in Orange County, however the unemployment rate was 4.1 percent, unchanged as of September.

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in Los Angeles County was 5.1 percent in October, up from a revised 5 percent in September, the state Employment Development Department reported Friday.
The 5.1 percent rate was well below the 6.1 percent rate from October 2015.

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for California was 5.5 percent in October, the same rate as September but below the 5.9 percent rate in October 2015. The comparable estimates for the nation were 4.9 percent in October, 5 percent in September and 5 percent a year ago.
According to the EDD, total nonfarm employment increased in Los Angeles County by 38,900 jobs between July and August to reach more than 4.4 million. The education and health services sectors posted the largest month-over-month gain, adding 14,600 jobs.
About 263,000 people were unemployed in October in Los Angeles County, which has a workforce of about 5.1 million.
