Waking up with the waves on Wednesday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Los Alamitos-Seal Beach Patch surf report. Well, it's time to start praying for some surf! Yep it's still really small and weak out there, but if you don't mind doing a little driving, you can find a few fun ones in the Huntington Beach area. The conditions are mostly clean from the start, with a combination of minimal northwest swell and some south southwest energy in the mix. That recipe is providing some pretty inconsistent and crumbly little lines, that are definitely lacking water due to the morning low tide. Look for things to be a little more rideable as the tide fills in later in the day. Most spots in Seal Beach are continuing to hang in the ankle to knee high range, with not much more than that. Taking a look at those tides...at 7:33 this morning it drops to a 0.4 low which will have most spots in need of water mid morning. The tide then climbs up to a 3.0 high at 1:40 this afternoon. If you're going to grab a salt water bath, then you'll want to wear no less than a 3/2 full-suit or a 4/3 and maybe the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 56 and 57 degrees. See ya in the water!
