Wednesday Wave Check

No need to leave town today.

Waking up with the waves on Wednesday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Los Alamitos-Seal Beach Patch surf report.  Well, it looks like there's no need to leave this town today.  Yep, we're seeing plenty of playful size surf on tap. The conditions are starting off fairly clean, with a mixture of modest energy.  We're seeing some holding west northwest swell and some very minor lingering south southwest energy in the water. That recipe is making for some fast and dumpy sectiony lines, with some good wedgy corners.  Most Seal Beach spots are running about knee to chest high, with the standout spots pulling a few plus sets. Taking a look at those tides...at 7:11 this morning it pushes way up to a 5.5 high which is going to have many spots in this neck of the woods pretty full and a bit inconsistent early to mid-morning.  Your best bet...once that tide drops a tad eventually draining out to a negative 0.7 low at 2:03 this afternoon. If you're going to grab some of the action, then throw on at least a 3/2 full-suit or maybe a 4/3 and possibly the booties, with the water temperature hanging between 57 and 58 degrees.  See ya in the water!!
