Westminster Murder At Area Nightclub
Two were shot, one fatally, at a Westminster nightclub. Police continue to investigate.
WESTMINSTER, CA — Two people were shot--one of them fatally--in Westminster early Saturday, during a Halloween style party at an area nightclub, according to police.
The shooting took place about 1:30 a.m. at Bleu Restaurant & Dancing, located at 14160 Beach Blvd., according to police. Westminster Police Cpl. Andrew Stowers told reporters there were around 100 people in the lounge when the shooting took place.
One of the people shot later died from gunshot wounds, police said. The person's gender and age were not immediately known, and the victim's name will be withheld pending notification of next of kin.

A second person was wounded in the leg and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
There was no word yet on what precipitated the shooting.

The shooter fled the scene on foot. There no suspect description immediately available.
