“Endless Summer” by Kaaren Marquez
Viewpoints Gallery is proud to present “Endless Summer”, a new collection of vibrant oil paintings by local Mountain View artist Kaaren Marquez. Inspired by visits to beaches throughout California and around the world, Kaaren captures the warmth, sounds, and energy of some of her favorite coastal memories. “The beach has always been my happy place,” says Kaaren, “Whether it is a quiet empty spread of sand, or a bustling group of sunbathers, the beach always makes my body relax and my heart smile.”
Kaaren’s extensive painting expertise shines through her latest collection and is particularly evident in her thoughtful compositions suffused with light-filled atmosphere. Through both traditional oil painting and contemporary oil and cold wax techniques, Kaaren demonstrates her versatile command of light, texture and perspective. Featuring twenty radiant pieces, this exhibition includes works ranging from intimate 6” x 6” studies to expansive 36” x 36” focal pieces.
Kaaren has been painting professionally for almost twenty years. Her work has won awards in several Bay Area competitions and been juried into numerous local, national, and international shows. Kaaren shows her work at Viewpoints Gallery in Los Altos, Gallery 24 in Los Gatos, and Lisa Lisa Hair Salon in Los Altos. Kaaren’s work is also available on her website, kaarensart.com and on the Viewpoints website, www.viewpointsgallery.com. Her paintings hang in private collections around the world.
