Cellist Vic Spain is an avid chamber musician and a champion of hidden gems in the repertoire for string quartet or piano trio. Vic also loves playing in the pit orchestra for operas and musicals, having played with Berkeley Opera (now West Edge Opera) and Concert Operetta Theater of Philadelphia. Vic is retired (for now?) from his career as a veterinarian, farm-animal-welfare researcher, public health epidemiologist, and certified scientific muckraker. When he's not playing music, you may find Vic hiking or backpacking in the Sierra Nevada wilderness

A Bay Area native, violinist Mark Hodgson is currently concertmaster of the Napa Valley Chamber Orchestra and member of the Bay Area Rainbow Symphony. Whenever possible, he plays violin and viola with friends in chamber music quintets, quartets trios, and the like. Mark has worked as a Pastry Chef Instructor in the Culinary Arts and Hospitality Studies program at City College of San Francisco since 2005. He also leads culinary study abroad courses to Oaxaca, Mexico most summers.
