City of Los Altos Is Taking Bids For Sewer Root Foaming
Interested contractors can submit sealed bids.

BID - Annual Sewer Root Foaming, Project 15-15
The City of Los Altos, Santa Clara County, California, invites sealed bids for furnishing labor, material and equipment required to complete the project in the particular locations, of the forms, sizes and dimensions and of the materials and to the lines and grades and at the elevations as shown and delineated upon the plans and specifications made therefore.
The project includes, but is not limited to, applying a chemical root control agent in approximately 250,000 feet of various sanitary sewer lines ranging in size from 6 inch up to 15 inch to kill the root growth present in the lines and to inhibit root re-growth and sewer line intrusion without permanently damaging the vegetation producing the roots and without disrupting water treatment plant processes.
