Dream Team for Los Altos City Council
After extended interviews with all six candidates I will be voting in order of priority for:
(1) Lynette Lee Eng is The People’s Choice because of her record in getting things done and listening to residents. Lynette created our first Senior Commission, Grant Park Senior Center, and our Summer Concert Series enjoyed by everyone. She has served on the Santa Clara County Civil Grand Jury and was the Chair of our Parks and Recreation Commission. Lynette will reform our commission process to fully empower, respect, and protect our citizen volunteers. Lynette supports a holistic community center approach, including Grant Park and Hillview, with opportunity for resident input. http://www.lynette4citycouncil.com

(2) Jan Pepper is our incumbent City Council member who has a lot of common sense. She opposed the Steven’s Creek Trail on Fallen Leaf Lane and the failed attempt to abolish the Senior Commission. Jan listens to what our community wants, not to outside special interest groups. She is approachable and promotes transparency. http://www.pepperforcouncil.com/
(3) Alex Glew prefers a Community Center solution that includes both Grant Park and Hillview. Alex pledges never to sell any city property or park land and cherishes our very scarce green spaces. Alex will listen and verify community needs with facts and data before taking action. http://www.alexglew.com/

This Dream Team will create a new culture at City Hall based on fact-based, bottom-up verified needs, rather than ill-defined approaches like Measure A.
