Visit Mohr Gallery this month to see this exhibition by artist and CSMA faculty member Avery Palmer.
Opening reception with the artist on Friday, April 11 from 6-8 pm.
Palmer’s sculptural pieces, featuring circus-like imagery, emphasize the play between the interior and exterior. Viewers will find small figures timidly peering out through windows and doors from inside architectural or bodily forms – symbolizing the human desire for an unattainable sense of security. Throughout his work, Palmer addresses humanity’s condition of limited understanding of reality that prompts people to dream and use their imaginations.
