Weekend Workshop
Saturday AND Sunday July 16-17
This is a two-day workshop, developed by Michael Harner and the Foundation for Shamanic Studies (www.shamanism.org).
During the Shamanism, Dying, and Beyond advanced weekend workshop, participants learn how to deal with the issue of dying and the destiny of souls from a shamanic perspective. The workshop is both for those who wish to learn for themselves, and for those who wish to help others who are in terminal situations or who have already passed on. We will become familiar with and learn how to experience the post-death realms, including tracking a person in the afterlife using shamanic journeying, completing unfinished business, helping a person to cross over, and classic psychopomp work.
This workshop is based in core shamanism, the universal, near-universal, or common principles and practices of shamanism not bound to any specific cultural group or perspective, as originated, researched, and developed by Michael Harner. Since the West overwhelmingly lost its shamanic knowledge centuries ago due to religious oppression, the Foundation for Shamanic Studies' programs in core shamanism are particularly intended for Westerners to reacquire access to their rightful spiritual heritage through quality workshops and training courses.
Prerequisite: the FSS Basic Workshop, The Way of the Shaman®, with an authorized FSS Faculty Member.
