DISNEYLAND, CA — It was just another day at Disneyland, another ride on the boats to the tune of Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me. Then, a little Disney magic came into play for a few riders of Pirates of the Caribbean, where dead men tell no tales.

"Johnny Depp was visiting (Pirates of the Caribbean) as a surprise and delight for our guests," a Disneyland spokesperson said. This, in advance of the next release in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, "Dead Men Tell No Tales."

On Wednesday, Depp appeared to fans as Captain Jack Sparrow, making his presence known in full character, from the line out front of the ride to unique appearances across multiple interior scenes of the ride. Depp interacted with guests as Captain Jack and had a grand time doing it.
