Los Altos has a French hotel - ENCHANTE

A labor of love, very elegant and chic, just like a small boutique hotel in Paris.

My staff and I - All Horizons Travel - had a private viewing of the new hotel on the corner of Main Street and San Antonio Road last Friday evening, followed by wine and a spectacular sampling by Jamie, the young chef’s fantastic selection of appetizers. The owner, Abby Ahrens is a colleague of my husband in Los Altos Rotary and knowing we have several staff who go to France regularly, she wanted our opinion on how the hotel has turned out. This property has been three years in the making with each piece hand picked on travels to France. Definitely a labor of love, very elegant and chic, just like a small boutique hotel in Paris. I thought the window draperies throughout the hotel were stunning. The bedding is of luxury class, and the bathrooms large, and well equipped.

We were very impressed. It has nineteen rooms, and one suite, all decorated differently, with a fireplace, stunning antiques, artwork, china and unique accessories, all bought in France. It is to be compared with a five star property but with good value pricing which includes breakfast cooked by their outstanding chef. Every room has a different name, and the library can be used for a private luncheon or a meeting room offering the latest technology with a fantastic atmosphere.

It is a pet friendly hotel, and one ground floor room has a walled in patio which makes it a terrific location and a select number of rooms will be perfectly suited for their canine guest.

No restaurant, but the wine and cheese bar will be open from 4.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. offering a very luxurious place to meet your friends or business associates. You really feel like you are in a Parisian bistro.

Very unique, elegant, and a great improvement over one of the chain, cookie cutter hotels we have plenty of on the peninsula.

Do go look at their website – www.Enchantehotel.com and see the magnificent job Abby and her team have done.
