Los Altos Police Reports: Rude Parking and Free Medication Disposal

A quick way to annoy your neighbors is by parking in a way that blocks the street, the sidewalk or their driveway. Los Altos Police officers were dispatched to two sites Wednesday—North Gordon Way and Arboretum Drive—because of traffic hazards or a blocked sidewalk.  Save officers a trip—be respectful of your neighbors.

Do you have expired or unused prescription drugs in your medicine cabinet? Don’t flush them—the medication dissolves and poisons the Bay. The Los Altos Police Department will dispose of them for you. “That’s a service we offer to the residents of Los Altos,” said Sgt. Scott McCrossin.  Residents may drop them off at the police headquarters or ask police to come by to pick them up. “Either way, we’ll help them out.”

If you drop off the medication, the police department is located at 1 N. San Antonio Rd.
