Los Altos Residents: If You Use Starbucks, You Have A Problem
You'll have to caffeine-up elsewhere for now.

Starbucks registers across the country and Canada quit working Friday evening, causing many of them to close early and others to remain open with extremely limited service.
If youāre headed to the Starbucks Friday night, so far youāre out of luck. Starbucks said a system refresh of its register system caused the outage but the company had no estimate on when the problem would be fixed.
That means if youāre headed out Saturday for your morning Joe, you may want to first check with the Starbucks you plan on hitting or check the Starbucks website.

āWe are actively working to resolve the outage,ā the company said in a statement. āOur stores that have not already closed for the evening are closing early ... We apologize to our customers for any inconvenience or confusion and will update this statement once systems are back online. This outage also affects our Evolution Fresh and Teavana stores.ā
