Police Calls: Wayward Deer Meets Vehicle; Reckless Driver Takes Off

Selected highlights from Wednesday's Los Altos Police log include a report of a barking dog, broken traffic signal, and a commercial burglary.

  • 10:14 a.m., Foothill Expressway and Arastradero Road, Palo Alto; traffic collision with a deer, no human injuries; referred to police in Palo Alto.

Noisy Animal

  • 10:24 a.m., 1400 block of Braddale Ave.; barking dog, police advised owner to quiet the pet.

Traffic Signal Out

  • 11:34 a.m., El Camino Real and Del Medio Avenue.; police responded to a report of a broken traffic signal. On arrival they found the signal flashing red with PG&E workers on the scene doing repairs.

Traffic Hazard

  • 3:42 p.m., Sheridan Street and University Avenue; police responded to a complaint about vehicles blocking the roadway. Arriving officer determined the vehicles were legally parked.

Commercial Burglary

  • 432 p.m., 1800 block of Grant Road; caller reported a burglary at a commercial building. Report taken by responding officer.

Suspicious Vehicle

  • 4:38 p.m., 100 block of First St.; Caller reported a suspicious vehicle in the area, responding officer was unable to locate the vehicle.

Reckless Driver

  • 6:17 p.m. Foothill Expressway and San Antonio Road; Police received a report of a reckless driver. Responding officer was unable to locate the driver or vehicle.
