Russia and Putin: Perspectives and Relations

World Affairs Council Peninsula Chapter
On Thursday, March 20, the Peninsula Chapter and the Los Altos Public Library are sponsoring a presentation by Andrei Tsygankov, Professor of Political Science and International Relations at San Francisco State University, on “Russia and Putin: Perspectives and Relations.” The discussion will assess Russia’s and Vladimir Putin’s expansion of influence and power abroad and at home and how these may effect broad Middle East issues including Syria and Iran negotiations as well as relations with the United States and the European Union, visa vis Ukraine.  The doors open at 7:00 pm for refreshments and 7:30 to 9:00 pm for the program. Please note the event is Thursday night NOT the usual Wednesday. The event is free and open to the public,  www.worldaffairs.org and www.santaclaracountylib.org/losaltos.
