STORM ADVISORY: Be Prepared and Where To Get Sandbags In Los Altos
Get ready ... it's going to be a wet week ...

From the Los Altos Police Department:
The National Weather Service, Bay Area is warning that a significant storm is headed our way this Wednesday through Friday. Heavy rainfall is expected to overwhelm waterways and roadway drainage systems, leading to flash flooding. Additionally, high winds from 20-40 mph are expected, with gusts up to 40-60 mph.

- Stock up on flashlights and batteries to be prepared for a power outage. Visit the PG&E website for essential information about power outages:http://www.pge.com/en/myhome/outages/index.page.
- A complimentary Sandbag Station is available to Los Altos residents at the City’s Maintenance Service Center located at: 707 Fremont Avenue in Los Altos.
- Secure outdoor items that can be blown about by strong wind.
- Stock up on food and water in order to avoid unnecessary driving during heavy rain and wind.
