Whiz Kid’s Accomplishments: Carrie excels in a challenging course load that includes AP English and AP Physics. She also shows her talents through a mix of electives and arts, such as Digital Photography and Drawing. Many of Carrie’s original artworks are on display at her school. She also thrives at sports, as a member of both the Varsity Water Polo and Swimming teams. After all that, she still makes time for philanthropic efforts; Carrie is the treasurer for the One Dollar for Life club, which helps raise money to build new schools in third-world countries. In the past, she has traveled to both Nicaragua and Kenya, where she helped build schools.
Whiz Kid’s Key to Success: Carrie says, “I know that if I work hard now in school, I will have more options in the future and have the availability to do what I want. Also, when you’re given a chance to take a class or test, why not give it your all? Because if you don't, it’s a waste.” She added, as for what makes her feel the passion she has for the things she does, Carrie responded—fun. “I enjoy and love all the activities I do, and that’s what causes me to excel in them.”
