South American Style
Rio de Janeiro’s southerly coastal location is a major embarkation point for South America, Antarctica and world cruises. Rio’s fabled beaches boast lyrical names like Ipanema and Copacabana where sparkling sands are dotted with colorful umbrellas and edges by clear Atlantic waters. Sitting directly before Ipanema Beach is the plush Caesar Park Rio de Janeiro Ipanema managed by Sofitel. This is an ideal jumping off point to explore the coast. Enjoy wide open views of Ipanema,s waters from your guest room or opt for a spacious corner suite offering two different perspectives of Rio, beaches. The sun dappled waters are on display from Galani restaurant, located on the second floor where the stunning panoramic view and authentic cuisine have cemented the restaurant’s legendary status. On the top floor a new rooftop bar is being developed to reflect the carioca (Rio locals) lifestyle. Along with complimentary beach chairs and umbrellas, hotel guests may also use bicycles to coast around the neighborhood to enjoy stylish boutiques, casual botecos (bars) and cafes.

Further west lies Santiago, tucked into Chile’s Central Valley. Once an under the radar destination, this capital city is a booming hub for travelers departing from nearby Valparaiso for South America and Antarctic cruises. Whether you are wandering the colonial inspired Plaza de Armas or ascending Cerro San Cristobal for panoramic city views, the Chilean Andes are always within sight. Grand Hyatt Santiago in the swank Cas Condes neighborhood, affords breathtaking views of these snowcapped summits. Enjoy dinner with a view on Senso’s terrace while dining on innovative Mediterranean cuisine, think pumpkin cream with ricotta dumplings and grilled octopus with smoked pepper, paired with Chilean wines plucked from onsite cellars. Indulge in the resort’s lagoon style pool and the three story AKO Spa and then call upon a chauffeured vehicle to transport you to conquer the trails of nearby Valle Navado ski resort or swirl bold cabernet sauvignon in Alto Maipo vineyards along the Andean foothills.
American Oasis
With the balmy beaches and turquoise seas, Florida is a natural extension to your Caribbean cruise. Miami’s glamorous shores are at the doorstep of W South Beach where every room features balconies and ocean views. Choose to enlist an onsite Beach Ambassador to keep you cool with refreshing cocktails and to help you find a prime site at a complimentary chaise lounge on the beach. Come evening, dine at the Dutch, an airy space hemmed by white painted brick walls where Chef Andrew Carmellini pays homage to the sea with heaping shellfish platters and zesty ceviche. For family friendly environs, venture up to the Gold Coast to the Ritz Carlton, Fort Lauderdale, a beachfront haven where little ones will thrill over guided Ritz Kids activities, and adults can rejuvenate at the ocean front spa with a sea salt body scrub and detoxifying aromatherapy treatments.

If an Alaskan cruise is on your bucket list, Seattle is an ideal city to position yourself before or after your northern adventure. Located just steps from the cruise terminal and walking distance from Pike Place Market, is the Edgewater Hotel. This is my favorite hotel in the North West. Fantastic views over Elliott Bay, a fireplace in your room, and enjoyable no matter what the weather is like. Have dinner at the Six Seven Restaurant which is excellent.
European Charms
On the edge of the Mediterranean Sea, Barcelona is known for its laid back beaches and urban treasures. Just ten minutes from the city center stretch two and a half miles of beaches where you may catch an unusual sight – an oversized glass and metal sculpture of a fish and the town is dotted with works of art by famous people. The El Palace Hotel is opulent, lovely rooftop terrace.
On the banks of the river sits Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois, in Basel, Switzerland. It has two Michelin stars restaurant and is a wonderful place to dine.
We have over 1000 hotels and resorts, lodges and spas which will give our clients benefits they wouldn’t otherwise get. Free breakfasts, upgrades, early check in late check out, dining credit and much more.
