After Bomb Threats, Santa Clara Co. Courthouses Reopen
Two Santa Clara County Superior Court buildings were reopened Wednesday morning following a bomb threat, authorities said.

SAN JOSE, CA — Two courthouses in downtown San Jose reopened Wednesday morning after a bomb threat forced them to be evacuated, the Santa Clara County Sheriff's office said.
The Downtown Santa Clara County Superior Court and nearby Old County Courthouse were both evacuated after the threat was received at 9:11 a.m., authorities said. Deputies and K-9 units conducted a sweep.
No bombs or explosives were found and normal operations were being resumed by 11:27 a.m., the sheriff's office said.

While the threat was being investigated, authorities asked the public to avoid the area of 1st and East St. James streets.
Update: Both Courthouses have been cleared. No bombs or explosives were located. We are resuming normal operations.

At 9:11am, we received a bomb threat at the Downtown Superior Courthouse and the Old County Courthouse.
We are evacuating both courthouses. Deputies and K9 units are on-scene to conduct a sweep.
