Car Lands Inside Los Gatos Starbucks
A Tesla Model S crashed through the front doors of a Starbucks as customers and employees were inside.
LOS GATOS, CA — A car crashed into a Los Gatos Starbucks Thursday afternoon, an official with the Santa Clara County Fire Department said. Firefighters were dispatched at 4:02 p.m. to a report that a car had crashed through the front doors of the Starbucks in the 600 block of Blossom Hill Road, fire Capt. Bill Murphy said.
"The business was open at the time," Murphy said. "Employees, customers and the driver of the vehicle were uninjured."
It was not immediately clear why the driver of the white Tesla Model S ended up inside the Starbucks.

The car was not was not equipped with the Tesla autopilot feature, Murphy said.
The incident resulted in minor structural damage to the building, Murphy said. SCCFD's Urban Search and Rescue crews responded to provide any necessary building shoring, he said.

Crews were expected to remain on scene until the car was removed from the building, according to the captain.
