Coronavirus: Santa Clara County Reports 6th Death

County also reported 20 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases, bringing total number of confirmed cases in the county to 175.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA - The County of Santa Clara Public Health Department reported its sixth death from the new coronavirus on Wednesday.

County officials said an adult male in his 60s who was hospitalized on March 5 and died on Tuesday.

The county also reported 20 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the total to number of confirmed cases in the county to 175.

The county reports 56 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 70 cases are presumed to have been transmitted through community spread and 18 linked with international travel.
