Coroner ID's Motorcyclist Who Died In Solo Crash Near Los Gatos

A 28-year-old man who died Sunday evening after he lost control of his motorcycle southwest of Los Gatos has been identified.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY - A 28-year-old man who died Sunday evening after he lost control of his motorcycle southwest of Los Gatos has been identified as San Jose resident Victor Hernandez, according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office.

Hernandez was traveling south on Black Road at Beggs Road around 5:40 p.m. when he lost control and was ejected as his motorcycle overturned, California Highway Patrol officials said.

The man struck a tree on the east roadway edge of Black Road.

He died of his injuries while in a medical helicopter en route to a hospital, according to the CHP.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash, CHP officials said.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
