Los Gatos Man Arrested After Alleged 7 Years Of Molesting Young Girl

Police on Tuesday said a Los Gatos man recently arrested for molesting a young girl had been sexually abusing the girl for the past seven years.

Michael Anthony Maldonado, 34, was located and arrested in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Feb. 13 on two counts of suspicion of committing a sex crime with a child 14 years old and under, two counts of aggravated sexual assault on a child 14 years old and under and for oral copulation/sexual penetration with a child 10 years old and under, police said.

In January, Los Gatos/Monte Sereno police received information about the alleged ongoing molestation of the juvenile in the area by Maldonado, police said.

Investigators determined Maldonado knew the victim and had sexually assaulted her on multiple occasions during the past seven years.

Maldonado was taken into custody without incident and has since been transported to the Santa Clara County Main Jail.
