Nearby Campbell Bank Held Up By Robber Claiming To Have Weapon
BREAKING: Police release surveillance images hoping for suspect-identification tips from today's incident on South Winchester Boulevard.

CAMPBELL, CA – A robber made off with cash today after allegedly holding up a Campbell bank on South Winchester Boulevard, according to police.
The Campbell Police Department responded to the armed robbery call at 11:40 a.m. at Chase Bank, on the 1600 block of South Winchester, police said.
A man, described as an Hispanic in his mid to late 30s, reportedly told a teller he was armed with a gun and demanded money, police said. No weapon was seen, however, the bank employee handed over cash to the man, who then fled through the bank's east doors and walked south on Winchester, police said.

Surveillance video images show the suspect, clean-shaven and estimated to be of medium to heavy build and 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, walk into the bank and approach the teller. He was described as wearing a black hoodie with a maroon shirt and -- on backwards -- a black baseball hat with a light-colored brim.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information about the robbery is asked to call the Campbell PD's dispatch center at (408) 866-2101. Anonymous phone calls can be made at (408) 871-5190. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the free mobile application (Campbell Police Department), downloadable from the App Store or Google Play.
