S.O.S. Fundraiser for Shea Shaw

Family of Los Gatos High School student left in paraplegic state following tragic hit-and-run accident reaches out to community for help.

The family of Los Gatos High School student Shea Olivia Shaw, left in a coma after a Jan. 8, 2011 hit-and-run accident in San Jose, continues to raise money to help pay for her medical expenses.

Shea, 17, who lives in Campbell, suffered a severe brain injury during the accident at Bascom and Camden avenues. Police have not been able to find the driver.

The once-vivacious girl with the pretty bright eyes, engaging smile and light brown hair now requires constant 24-hour care, relies on a stomach feeding tube and needs physical therapy.
