School Locked Down After Student Fight Spills Into Street In SMC: Police

The secure campus order was lifted after police said there was no active threat.

SAN MATEO, CA — A student altercation that began on the campus of Aragon High School and spilled onto Alameda De Las Pulgas prompted a brief secure campus order Thursday afternoon before police cleared the scene.

The fight was reported around 1:16 p.m. San Mateo Police Department officers responded and determined there was no active threat to the school or the surrounding area.

The school was placed on secure campus as a precaution while officers investigated, and the order was lifted shortly after.
