Santa Clara County Reports 192 New Coronavirus Cases, 3 Deaths
There were 144 COVID-19 patients hospitalized in the county as of Tuesday, of which 49 were being treated in intensive care units.
SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — The Santa Clara County Public Health Department reported 192 additional coronavirus cases Tuesday.
The latest announcement brings the countywide COVID-19 case count to 6,725.
The county reported three additional coronavirus-related fatalities Tuesday, bringing its COVID-19 death toll to 170.

Elsewhere in the Bay Area and beyond, San Francisco Public Health Director Dr. Grant Colfax said Monday the city could see hundreds, or even thousands, of deaths related to COVID-19 by the end of the year if residents don't continue to take precautions to slow the virus' spread.

There were 336,565 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 7,117 coronavirus-related deaths in California as of Tuesday afternoon according to data from Johns Hopkins University.
The United States had 3,407,798 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 136,252 coronavirus-related fatalities as of Tuesday afternoon.
