South Bay To 'March For Our Lives'

Here is what you need to know about a local March For Our Lives demonstration planned for tomorrow, March 24 in San Jose.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — Millions of people across the U.S. and internationally are planning to take part Saturday, March 24 in more than 800 marches and rallies to protest gun violence. Local March For Our Lives events are scheduled to take place in San Jose and in Morgan Hill.

March For Our Lives comes just 10 days after students across the country walked out of class as part of a nationwide effort to protest gun violence and push lawmakers to strengthen gun control laws. The walkout took place on the one-month anniversary of the tragic shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida.

Here is what you need to know about the South Bay demonstration scheduled for Saturday.

March For Our Lives San Jose

Time and location: 11 a.m. at San Jose City Hall, 200 E. Santa Clara St., San Jose, CA

Organizers say: " ... The kids and families of March For Our Lives will take to the streets to demand that their lives and safety become a priority and that we end gun violence and mass shootings in our schools today. March with us in Washington DC or march in your own community. On March 24, the collective voices of the March For Our Lives movement will be heard."
