Suspect In Fatal South Bay Hit-And-Run Sought
A 61-year-old man was killed in a crash involving three cyclists.

SAN JOSE, CA — San Jose police are asking for the public’s help identifying the hit-and-run suspect in a collision involving three cyclists that left one person dead and another injured, police said.
Officers responded at 4:56 p.m. to a collision involving three bicyclists on Guadalupe River Trail under a bridge.
The suspect was riding south on the trail as a 61-year-old man and 59-year-old woman were riding north and the three collided, police said.

Both victims were taken to a hospital where the man died.
The woman suffered injuries not considered life-threatening, according to police.

The suspect is described as a man in his 30s, possibly Hispanic, who is 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall with a ponytail.
The death is San Jose's 22nd traffic death this year and the city's second trail death this year, police said.
It is the city’s second recent fatal crash involving cyclists.
A 40-year-old man died from injuries he suffered in a collision with another cyclist on the Guadalupe River Trail near Julian Street on May 15 according to a San Jose Mercury News report.
