16-Year-Old Killed In Malibu Canyon Rollover Crash
The person killed in a rollover crash in Malibu on Wednesday has been identified as a 16-year-old high school student.
MALIBU, CA — The person killed Wednesday in a Malibu Canyon Road rollover crash has been identified as a 16-year-old high school student.
The crash was reported at about 7:40 a.m. Wednesday just north of Potter Drive, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
A Tesla had tumbled around 30 feet down a cliff in the area, trapping someone inside. Crews descended down the hill and found the victim inside the vehicle, KTLA reported.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the California Highway Patrol. He was later identified by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's office as Hunter Langley, 16.
Langley was a student at Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth.

A school administrator shared the news of Langley's death in a letter to families, ABC 7 reported.
"It is with a very heavy heart that I share the tragic news that a student of our Upper Campus community died earlier this morning in a car accident," the statement said. "My deepest sympathies are with the family as they navigate an unimaginable loss, and I know our entire community will join me in holding them in our thoughts and prayers. Out of respect for the family's privacy, we will not be sharing additional details."
