MALIBU, CA – A body was found off the side of the road Friday in an unincorporated area of the Santa Monica Mountains near Malibu. There was no immediate word on the age or gender of the person, who was found about 11:30 a.m. in the area of Piuma and Schueren roads, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Firefighters responded to a report of a possible body near the road and found the decedent in some dirt about 10 feet from the shoulder, a Los Angeles County Fire Department inspector said.
