Hundreds Of Mullet Fish Found Dead In Malibu Lagoon
California State Parks scientists are investigating the incident.

MALIBU, CA – Hundreds of fish were found belly-up in the Malibu Lagoon Thursday morning, which California State Parks scientists are investigating this week. While the cause of death is unconfirmed at this time, California State Parks Angeles District Superintendent Craig Sap told Malibu Times it might have been caused by high water temperatures.
California Fish and Wildlife have been notified of the incident, according to Malibu Surfside News. The state is working on a solution to clean up the fish – which were mostly mullets – but meanwhile, the birds were having a "field day," Sap told Malibu Times.
"We're going to keep an eye on it," he told the newspaper. "If we need to remove some of them — if we can —we'll look into that."
