During spring break, the varsity cheerleading team won the championship in the medium varsity division at the National Cheerleading Competition in Las Vegas. The event was hosted by Sharp International.
Many parents and supporters traveled from Malibu to support the team at this competition. The squad is coached by Melisa Andino. The members are Yasi Afsharnive, Eden Concoff, Jenny Kotlyar, Paige Schwimer, Kelly Watson, Mia Nunez, Ysidora Bravo, Emily Thiessen, Jade Collins-Parnell, Nicolette Cunningham and Jessica Murray.
This marks the end of the season for the 2010-11 team, and tryouts for the 2011-12 squad will take place next month.
