Malibu High Volleyball Falls to Grace Brethren
The Sharks play well in the road match loss. The team will have another chance against Grace Brethren later this month at home.
The girls varsity volleyball team on Thursday traveled to Grace Brethren for a contest between what most consider to be the two top teams in the league. Coming off , the Sharks were again ready to test themselves against a worthy challenger.
Grace Brethren presented a well-prepared and very skilled team. Malibu had some huge highlight plays, but lost in three straight games (17-25, 18-25, 17-25) in a well-played match for both teams.
"Wins on the road are harder," senior Shark Maddy Rotman said. "I don't know why, but they are. But I am very proud of how well our team played."

Her teammate Coral Silverberg added, "[Grace Brethren is] a well-coached and talented team, but they are beatable. I know we can beat them when they come to Malibu."
Head coach Carlos Gray said, "Sports go that way. You can play your best, but on any given day, any team can win. I believe we are a better team. We just need the score to confirm it next time"
