MALIBU, CA — A late-night sweep for parking violators by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department in Malibu earlier this month resulted in 51 citations, four vehicles towed and two people arrested.
The department's Malibu special assignment deputies, the Malibu-Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station's Malibu liaison sergeant and sheriff's volunteers on patrol conducted the parking enforcement efforts late at night on April 13, according to the city.
In addition to the citations and tows, deputies arrested one person for a misdemeanor and another person on a felony animal cruelty charge in connection to dead and emaciated dogs found in an RV, deputies said.
