Mini Earthquake Strikes West End of Malibu
The quake was at 8:13 a.m. and was centered 4 miles northwest of Leo Carrillo State Beach.

A magnitude 2.2 earthquake rattled the western end of Malibu today, according to automated seismographs operated by the Southern California Earthquake Center.
The quake was at 8:13 a.m. and was centered 4 miles northwest of Leo Carrillo State Beach. That epicenter would be about 17 miles west of the Malibu Civic Center, near the Ventura County line.
The automated data had not been reviewed by a scientist and was subject to revision.
