Sign-Up In April For 'Run Malibu' & Tree To Be Planted On Your Behalf

Organizers of the 2022 Malibu Half Marathon & 5K partnered with a conservation group, The Canopy Project, to mark Earth Day.

MALIBU, CA — "Run Malibu" organizers have partnered with The Canopy Project for an Earth Day promotion: For every new registration through April 30 for the 2022 races, a tree will be planted in support of Earth Day by the environmentally focused nonprofit.

"Climate change is one of the most pressing issues we’re facing, and together we have the power to make a difference," race organizers said.

The 14th Annual Malibu Half Marathon & 5K is planned for Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 5-6. The event, a fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Club of Malibu and Girls on the Run Los Angeles County, also includes a kids' 1/2K run for ages 4 to 10.
