MALIBU, CA – The coroner's office Thursday publicly identified a woman killed when a car went about 300 feet over the side of Malibu Canyon Road in the Malibu area.

Fleming was driving a blue 2015 Toyota Camry northbound in the No. 1 lane of Malibu Canyon Road at about 45 mph, witnesses told the CHP.

Witnesses then saw the Toyota move from the inside lane to the asphalt turnout lane and accelerate to about 70 mph across the dirt shoulder, Kay said. The car then crashed into a small dirt embankment at the road's edge, the officer said.
