4 Arrested for Manhattan Beach Burglary

The arrests spilled into Redondo Beach. None of the suspects were from either city.

Three young men and a 16-year-old boy were arrested for their alleged involvement in a Manhattan Beach home burglary, police reported today.

On Friday morning, police spotted two of the suspects -- one of them was toting a single piece of luggage -- walking in the 200 block of Harkness Street. He dropped the bag when the officers approached and both began running, according to a Manhattan Beach police statement.

A foot pursuit ensued, and after a perimeter was set up, one of the suspects was found in the 1800 block of Eighth Street while the other fled across Aviation Boulevard and into Redondo Beach.
