5 Things To Do This Week In The South Bay

Here are five things to know about this upcoming week in the South Bay.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — A new week has arrived in the South Bay, and as the weather warms up residents have many opportunities to enjoy the spring weather.

The week ahead is a busy one for South Bay residents, here are five things to look out for:

  1. The City of Redondo Beach is asking for the community's input on the redesign of the city's official logo. The city approved a contract in February to redesign the current logo. Resident opinions will help guide the design process to better reflect the city's diversity and vibrancy. To take the survey, visit this link.
  2. Join the Mayor of Rolling Hills Estates at the Mayor's Breakfast Ride on May 13 at 8:30 for a tour of the beautiful local trails. The tour will conclude at Ernie Howlett Park where local Scouts will serve attendees a pancake breakfast. The ride will start at Chandler Park. Tickets for the event can be purchased at City Hall or from you local scout troop for $10. For more information, visit the city's website.
  3. The Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce's annual Phenomenal Women event is coming up on Thursday, May 11. Tickets for chamber members go for $100 and non-member tickets will run you $150. This year's event will be moderated by Kinecta Community Foundation Executive Director Latrice McGlothin. For more information, visit the chamber's website.
  4. For those who like to support local farmers and enjoy fresh produce, this week's farmer's markets will happen on Tuesday in Manhattan Beach, Thursday in Redondo Beach and Sunday in Rolling Hills Estates.
  5. Rounding the week out in Palos Verdes Estates, The Malaga Cove Art on the Lawn Show will take place at the entrance to the city. The event will feature paintings, jewelry, ceramic, photography, wearable art and prints from local art groups. The art show will take place on May 13 and 14 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Have a good week South Bay!
