Waking up with the waves on Wednesday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Manhattan Beach Patch surf report. Well, we're seeing a decent dose of energy in the water, but those conditions look like they could deteriorate rather quickly today!
We're already seeing some texture or even light bump on it, due to the variable wind. Taking a look at the waves, there's mostly south southwest swell and just a hint of northwest windswell. That recipe is providing some crumbly sectiony lines, with a few fun corners.
Most Manhattan Beach spots are hanging in that knee to stomach high range, with those focal points that pick up the most southerly energy seeing some chest high waves, with the occasional plus set.

At 5:50 this morning, the tide drained out to a negative 1.2 low, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, which won't help things early on. Many spots will be kind of inconsistent throughout mid-morning due to the lack of water. Your best bet is once that tide turns around and eventually climbs up to a 3.9 high at 12:15 this afternoon.
If you're going to get wet, you can pull-off wearing a 3/2 fullsuit, with the water temperature averaging between 57 and 58 degrees. See ya in the water!
