Airport Commissioners Approved Upgrade of Airport Police Fleet

An initial shipment of 60 vehicles will include Ford Interceptor SUVs and sedans, and F-250 utility vehicles.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A $12 million agreement to purchase 150 vehicles to replace part of the Los Angeles International Airport's police division fleet was approved Wednesday by airport commissioners.

The board signed off on a purchase agreement with Wondries Fleet Group to buy the vehicles for use by Airport Police personnel.

An initial shipment of 60 vehicles will include Ford Interceptor SUVs and sedans, and F-250 utility vehicles. Future orders for the remaining 90 vehicles will be made in the second and third years of the contract.
