There were 873 calls for service and 18 arrests made in Manhattan Beach during the week of April 23-29, according to police data.
In all, three auto thefts were reported during the seven-day period, as well as two vehicle burglaries, one residential burglary and a vandalism case.
There were also a handful of shoplifting cases. The more notable events during the week included:
On 4/24/26 at about 5:30 pm, officers responded to a business in the 1200 block of Sepulveda Boulevard, regarding a shoplifting suspect inside a store. Upon the arrival of officers, a suspect was located in the store and subsequently arrested.
On 4/24/26 at about 9:10 pm, officers responded to a business in the 1700 block of Rosecrans Avenue, regarding shoplifting suspects inside the store. When officers arrived, they detained three suspects, all of whom were ultimately arrested for various violations.
On 4/25/26 at about 12:50 pm, officers responded to a burglary report in the 1300 block of Laurel Avenue. Upon contact is was determined that an unknown suspect entered the property and took a dog from the victim's residence. A report was taken.
On 4/26/26 at about 9:10 am, officers responded to a report of a theft from a vehicle in the 1800 block of Poinsettia Avenue. Upon arrival, the victim told officers that unknown suspects had entered their unlocked vehicle and stole one dollar in coins. A report was taken.
