Are Two South Bay Shootings Related? Police Want to Know
The location was the scene of the another shooting this weekend where one man was killed at a barber shop.

HAWTHORNE, CA - Police on Monday were investigating if the shooting and wounding of a man and woman in Hawthorne was related to an earlier shooting in the same location that left one man dead and another wounded.
The latest attack was reported about 10:15 p.m. Sunday at Crenshaw and El Segundo boulevards, according to the Hawthorne Police Department.
Officers were called to the location and found both victims suffering from several gunshot wounds, police said.

County firefighters treated the victims at the scene and then took them to a hospital, where they each underwent surgery, police said.
Both are expected to survive.

Two other females who were in the same vehicle as one of the victims were treated for lacerations caused by shattered glass, police said.
"This location was the scene of a shooting on Saturday night that leftone man dead and another injured at a barber shop," according to a police statement. "A candlelight memorial had been placed in front of the barbershop.
"Information obtained from witnesses indicated that at least one suspect opened fire upon the female who was standing near the memorial and the male who was seated inside the ... vehicle."
A suspect vehicle was seen leaving the area heading east on El Segundo Boulevard and out of sight, police said.
The earlier, fatal shooting was reported at 4:10 p.m. Saturday in the 12800 block of Crenshaw Boulevard, said Deputy Crystal Hernandez of the Sheriff's Information Bureau.
According to witnesses, two male suspects were in the parking lot and started shooting into the barber shop at patrons and employees, Hernandez said. The suspects fled in a car.
Raymond Arnold, 31, died at the scene, according to the coroner's office. His hometown was not known. A 29-year-old man was taken to a hospital and underwent surgery, and was expected to survive, Hernandez said.
Sheriff's homicide detectives were assisting Hawthorne police in the investigation. A motive for the shooting was unknown.
