Beach Volleyball's 'War of the Roses'
Signups to play in the 20th annual incarnation of this tournament can be done online until 9 p.m. tonight. Athletes ages 10 and up compete Saturday.

Youth and adult volleyball players will hit the sand near the Manhattan Beach Pier this Saturday, Sept. 17 when the 20th Annual War of the Roses Co-ed Beach Volleyball Tournament and Silent Auction gets underway at 9 a.m.
Bring your cash or checkbook because there will be many great auction items donated from local businesses who are supporting Beach Cities Ski Club and Team WAVE Volleyball Club as they raise money for scholarships and financial support for underprivileged children ages 7-18 in the greater Los Angeles area through the silent auction.
The tournament is a mandatory opposite sex co-entry for doubles except for the youth division. You may sign-up as a single player, twosome, threesome or foursome and the Beach Cities Ski Club tournament official will do her best to match up a full team.
